A nice gem of a place in Alfred Maine to get good food at reasonable prices. The place is easy to get to with plenty of parking. The service was very good and the bathrooms were clean. I and my dining partner enjoyed the following meals: Fried Haddock Fish sandwhich with fried onions and an iced tea. Haddock fish tacos with French Fries. I highly recommend this place to get a good meal !!!

I had an incredible dining experience at Oak Street Bistro! From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding—everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The portion sizes were generous, and the presentation was beautiful. Service was top-notch! Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, gave great recommendations, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our meal. Whether you're looking for a cozy dinner spot or a special place to celebrate, Oak Street Bistro is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

We Traveled to Maine for Friends and Family Luncheon Gathering at the Oak Street Bistro . Our Maitre'd' James Escorted us to our Table. We placed our Drink and Appetizer order with our Waitress Marie who was Awesome !. Appetizers: Onion Rings, Shrimp Cocktails, Bruschetta, French Onion Soup, Fish Chowder , Caesar salad with Grilled Chicken and Bang Bang Shrimp they were Delicious and the Drinks were Ice Cold . Now to the entrees Baked Haddock, Scallops and Penne, Steak Tips, Filet Mignon and Sticky Chicken Tenders everyone enjoyed there Meal . But don't forget the Dessert and let me tell you that the Homemade Bread Pudding was Excellent as was the Homemade Cheesecake and Cream Brulee . The Service was Great and our Waitress Marie was Awesome . Highly Recommend Oak Street Bistro!

Stopped by for an early dinner around 4pm on a Friday. Bistro was already hopping, bar was full and folks were having a good time. I was not sure what to expect as I hadn't heard anything about the Oak Street Bistro, but my dining partners had and they were raving about it. Here to say, every dish we got lived up to the hype and then some. We started with bang bang shrimp and onion rings... Both fantastic. Moved on to dinner entrees, each person commented multiple times how good everything was. I got one of the specials, pan-seared shrimp with spinach tortellini in a cream sauce.. I would get that meal every night if I could. I did share my compliments to the chef and said they should make the meal a permanent menu item. The steak tips were delicious, had to take some home for leftovers. The baked haddock was yummy, took some home. Atlantic salmon was great, there was no leftovers there haha And I saved a few tortellini to bring home for the next night as I was full from the appetizers. But then we got cheesecake for dessert. If you order nothing else, at least get yourself some cheesecake. I will absolutely be returning here, the staff was excellent (our waitress was Tracy and she was great!), the food was delicious, and I sound like I was paid to eat here, but I was not. Do yourself a favor and stop in. Cheers

I have thought about this salad for over a week straight. We came to this place when up in Maine visiting family. The space was nice and we enjoyed live music that evening. The bread basket was good, and they did a great job accommodating one person’s gluten restriction. But this salad. You wouldn’t think it would work but it was *so* good. The chicken was extremely tender. The blueberry vinaigrette was incredible. This is going to be my white whale salad. There was a bit of a wait, but it made sense given how good the food was and the fact it was a Saturday night. They had good chairs to sit in while we waited.

What a wonderful new find!!! Totally love it here!! Charlie and staff are phenomenal!!! Can’t wait to go back .... It’ll be prime rib time!!! I had steak tips which were very good, Ann had ceasar salad with salmon and Gerry had prime rib!!!! Our waiter Conner was great!!!!

My husband and I had lunch here today. I was pleasantly surprised by in interior decor. Gorgeous vibe. Great service and great food. Can't wait to go for dinner some day.

Out on a Sunday afternoon running some errands and just roaming around a bit we searched for a new lunch spot and found Oak Street Bistro and decided to give it a try. We live about 35 minutes away and routinely ride our motorcycles through this area and I've never noticed this place as a restaurant before driving by and now I feel I have missed out of years of driving by and not stopping. We arrived to find an amazing waiting area upon entry complete with fireplace and large seating options comprised of dark wood and leather padded chairs. As move into the restaurant further you find that the Christmas decorations are abundant and very well done including several beautifully decorated Christmas trees. There were 2 dining rooms available, but we chose to go to the bar area where options of table seating or a spot at their large bar were available. We were greeted as we approached and offered to seat anywhere of our liking as it was not very busy at the moment. The decorations continued throughout the bar with the Christmas decor. The bar area also equipped with a large fireplace (that we wished was on at the time). We sat at the bar and enjoyed a couple of beverages and appetizers which were all great including some of the coldest draft beers I've had in the area. Service was also well-done with bartender very attentive to our needs as well as the others at the bar. We look forward to returning to try some dinner options in the future as the overall vibe Oak Street Bistro was so enjoyable.
